Bio
Dan Hawkins was born in Maine and has worked as an architect & carpenter in China, Denmark, England, and the United States. He makes maps, utensils, furniture, buildings, and stories.
Recent work has explored coastal ownership and occupation in Maine, as well as informal lobster fishing territories there. Other projects have mapped obstructions to fish in rivers of the Cobscook Bay watershed, and first nations held aquaculture sites in British Columbia.
His work has been shown at the Danish Architecture Center (Copenhagen), London Design Festival, and the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism.
